Blue Plate began serving school lunches in 2005. Prior to 2005 Blue Plate provided weekly meal deliveries to families. We are a small, locally-owned company that provides hot lunch programs to private schools during the school year and kids’ cooking camps during the summer.
Owner Bruce Bowen, born and raised in Seattle, had a 15 year career cooking in Seattle’s quality restaurants and hotels and has run his own business for over 20 years.
Our commercial kitchen is located in the Wedgwood neighborhood of Seattle.
